increase empowerment and self-esteem among survivors of domestic
abuse and to increase understanding and insight among perpetrators
of domestic violence through the use of Therapeutic Storytelling
- to
provide training in Therapeutic Storytelling
for
personnel who work with survivors and with perpetrators in the
domestic violence field
- to
extend the use of Therapeutic Storytelling to such fields as:
aging, drug and alcohol addiction, physical rehabilitation,
obesity, etc.
- to
hold educational sessions about family life, the roles of women
and men, and domestic violence for colleges and high schools,
businesses, the medical and nursing professions, legal and court
personnel, and the general public
- to
offer the StoriesWork art exhibit of posters from all parts of the
world promoting women’s rights and combating domestic violence
